Pertemps Powerboat Racing Team hold onto their lead

Pertemps Powerboat Racing Team hold onto their leadThis weekend saw the Pertemps Powerboat Racing Team John Wilson and Neil Scarborough hold the lead in the P1 SuperStock Championship when they took part in the third round of the race in Hull.

The Hull Grand Prix of the Sea came to its exciting conclusion at Hull Marina with 00 of spectators flocking to the dockside to support the teams. The Pertemps team came second in Saturdays race but secured their 15 point lead.

John Wilson driver of the boat said: “It doesn’t come much better than that. The conditions today do suit us; we’ve always performed when the conditions are rough. We’re a heavier crew so that helps the boat keep more balance when it’s choppy. It was a bit congested at the start but we knew where we had to go and everything worked perfectly.”

Following a great weekend the UK’s premier Powerboat racing championship now has a break until the weekend of 27/28 August when the race moves to Cowes in the Isle of White. This will be followed by the fifth and final round in the ‘Race to Liverpool’, which concludes in Albert Dock on 10/11 September
