Pertemps nominates a winner!
Pertemps employee, Trishula Bhatt, has been awarded the national accolade of ‘Agency Office Worker
of the Year’ from the Recruitment and Employment Federation, placing her in the final 11 for the
ultimate ‘One in a Million’ award.
Trishula was one of thousands candidates to be entered into the One in a Million awards and
has managed to beat hundreds of candidates, in her category.
Pertemps’ Sheffield branch nominated Trishula for her outstanding contribution to the agency and
her employers.
When Trishula Bhatt joined Pertemps and took her first assignment at a local housing association as an
administrator, she was keen to learn but was quiet and inexperienced. Within a short time she not only
made herself an indispensable part of the team at Sheffield Homes, but she had completed several successful
assignments, helped the company win an award and had been personally nominated for a further accolade.
Since joining the team at Sheffield Homes, Trishula has worked hard on improving her English as well as building
her knowledge base of the industry. Her line manager, Grace Nicholson, said, “Trishula had no real knowledge
of the housing service area or related social housing issues but has quickly developed a broad understanding of
the topics and associated data.”
The judges were inspired by Trishula’s entry form and invited her to interview in London, generating extremely positive feedback.
Pertemps Recruitment Partnership Sponsors Event Mobility
As an organisation that is committed to equality of opportunity for all,
Pertemps is particularly proud to announce its Sponsorship of Event
Mobility in 2006. Tim Watts has been asked to become the official sponsor
of the Trust – a role that he was pleased to accept.
Event Mobility is a registered charity established in 1999 that provides
facilities to assist disabled, elderly and people with impaired mobility
with access to countryside events.
Lack of mobility prohibits many thousands of people from becoming involved
in activities that able-bodied people take for granted. It is hard to
imagine not having access to the countryside and the ability to participate
in leisure rural events and leisure pursuits, however this is a reality for
many thousands of people. With the advent of the Disability Discrimination
Act, equality of access it is now not just an ethical issue, but also one
governed by legislation.
Pertemps is highly committed to the communities within which it works, and
contributes millions of pounds each year to a range of charitable causes,
both centrally and through sponsorship of staff in Head Office, Branches
and Flexible Employees.
