PERTEMPS GET TWO TICKS

The Jobcentre Plus has awarded Pertemps ‘Two Ticks’ for their commitment to providing work for and keeping disabled people in employment.

Pertemps, has always promoted diversity at all levels and has accolades relating to both race and age. The ‘Positive About People’ Two Ticks accreditation is a further extension of this and works solely towards the disabled community.

This accreditation has been welcomed by Pertemps existing disabled employees and is good news for disabled people who are currently seeking employment throughout the UK.

In order to maintain this accolade businesses have to commit to and be rigorously monitored on five main commitments. The commitments ensure that organisations interview all disabled applicants and they are considered on their ability and what can be done to develop their capabilities.

Businesses must also make every effort to ensure employees stay in employment and other employees develop disability awareness in order to ensure these commitments are effective.

Celia Perry, Pertemps Operations Director for the Midlands said: “We have worked very hard at Pertemps to ensure all our workers, whether they are candidates or Pertemps staff are treated equally and have always taken diversity very seriously.

Professional Administrator's Day

“We are delighted that we are able to display the Two Ticks symbol in our branches and on our literature and we hope it will increase awareness amongst other employers as well as reassuring our existing and potential employees that we are dedicated to improving and developing the equality
systems and procedures we already have in place”.
