Marketing Case Study – Bill Gibson
Having worked in sales and marketing for many years, I was looking for a new challenge in a similar role. Despite only being out of work a few weeks, I decided to post my CV online to advertise my desire to work in this sector.
After three weeks of self-advertising, I had a call from Rebecca, a recruitment consultant from the Birmingham branch at Pertemps. She had noticed my CV and was keen to discuss the various roles they had available that she felt were perfect for the skill set showcased in my credentials.
Coincidently, when I had worked in senior positions in previous roles I had used Pertemps as part of our internal recruitment strategy, so I was aware of the company and how they operated. Up until now, however, I had never considered turning to them for my personal recruitment needs.
During our first correspondence, Rebecca was enthusiastic and confident that she would be able to find the ideal role for me. I bought into what we discussed and I felt Rebecca was genuine in her approach, not something I had experienced with other agencies.
I was glad to be proven right; Rebecca was extremely proactive and I couldn’t fault the communication we had. Also, her passion and proactivity meant that I wasn’t waiting for the phone to ring but instead I was inundated with potential opportunities.
I was put forward for different roles until finally the persistence paid off and I landed a contract for a senior position within a small family-owned engineering firm focussing on sales, digital marketing and PR.
This role ticked all of the boxes and as I started to get stuck in I found myself calling Rebecca again - this time as a client. My role included working on the long-term vision of the company so recruitment played a part in this and I had no hesitation in asking for her help.
Once again, Rebecca did a great job and I’d say she helped employ one of the best members of staff within the company.
Accessibility to the whole team at Pertemps was faultless and Rebecca worked so hard to find me the right role that I’d have no hesitation in recommending Pertemps from both a job seeker and client perspective.
