Job Description

Pertemps West Bromwich are recruiting for a Logistics Planner to join an Industrial supplier near the West Bromwich town centre. This will be a temporary to permanent position after a successful trial period.

Hours are Monday to Friday 0800 - 1700. The successful candidate will be asked to be flexible depending on business needs.

The pay rate is £11.44 per hour but can be negotiated for experienced candidates.

Duties include but are not limited to the below:
  • Manage the day to day running of the yard
  • Ensure all staff are at work for the correct start time
  • Deal with any issues regarding the yard i.e. stock shortages, FLT issues etc
  • Plan drivers routes accordingly, sticking to drivers' guidelines and to make the route as fuel efficient as possible
  • Arrange container shipment in and of the country
  • Organize quarterly stock takes
  • Data inputting
  • Arrange for trucks 6 weekly inspections in the absence of the transport manager
