Forge Maintenance Engineer.

We are currently looking for a forge maintenance engineer who is seeking a new, unique, and challenging new role based in the heart of Birmingham.

Our client is a true global leader in the supply of metals, synonymous with high quality and unrivalled manufacturing processes.

Following a period of sustained growth and continued success they are now looking to expand their team of operators to aid further ambitions for 2024 and beyond.

This is unique opportunity to join this leading global brand in a unique position within UK manufacturing. The role is a mix of maintenance and operational, on a heavy press machine with approximately 50%/50% split.

The ideal candidate for the position of Forge Maintenance Engineer:

• Background of maintenance engineering.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Looking for a new challenge combining maintenance with operation.
• Forward thinking with an ambition for personal growth.

Your duties/responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Operating and maintaining a bespoke heavy press machine on all aspects, with a knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical and Electrical systems.
• Responsible for the manufacture of raw materials including the output of the machine and identify any production issues.
• Monitor and control the machine performance and settings.
• Movement of material using forklift trucks, cranes, and slinging systems, as and when required.
• Always maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Support and contribute to the area's lean assessment process with the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques to maintain and improve the processes within the area.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities to maintain and improve 6s standards and auditing systems.

Hours of work:
Shift pattern 4 Days on 4 Days off. 12 hours shifts.
7:00 am - 7:00 pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am.
Salary:
Starting at £37,470 pa - plus £1225 shift allowance per month.
