The ECT
As a KS2 ECT, you will have a bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field, and will have completed, or will be completing, a PGCE with QTS. You will be committed to the education and support of young learners and will utilise your warm personality to build strong bonds with the pupils and staff. You will be driven to pursue a successful career in teaching and will be dedicated to upholding safeguarding processes to ensure your classroom is a safe and secure place to be. 
 
The Role
In your KS2 ECT role, you will be undertaking your induction and will partake in planning and delivering engaging lessons and creating learning materials that suit each individual pupil’s needs. You will be monitoring and tracking pupils progress to ensure that all pupils fulfil their full potential and provide constructive feedback to children and parents. In order to maintain a positive learning environment, you will create strong relationships with pupils and colleagues and will enthusiastically engage in activities with the wider school environment.
 
The School
This Newtown-based school is searching for a KS2 ECT to offer support to children aged 7-11 as they progress towards their SAT examinations. This school is currently undergoing a huge programme involving improvement and transformation and requires new staff to assist in this transition and make their own impact. You will be working alongside a team of talented teaching staff who will endeavour to welcome and guide you as you complete your induction and settle into your KS2 ECT position.
