Job Description

I am currently looking for an experienced Administrator to work within a Higher Education organisation, based in Edgbaston.

The role is a temporary position expected to last for 3 months, with an immediate start.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00

Main duties

Support the day to day operation of the Educational Enterprise team including office administration and diary management.

Service relevant meetings and workshops ensuring all actions are documented and followed up as appropriate.

Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and techniques.

Facilitate compilation of reports on project progress across the portfolio and escalate problems as they arise.

Establish a good working relationship with key stakeholders across the University

Develop a good operational understanding of appropriate processes and workflows, becoming proficient on the systems and services that are used by the University.

Help monitor key performance indicators (student recruitment, admissions targets, budgets etc.)

To undertake other duties as required by the Director of Educational Enterprise

Skills and Experience

Relevant administrative support experience within a complex organisation, ideally with some experience within the Higher Education sector.

Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

A good team worker with the ability to work effectively with staff at different levels of the organisation.

An understanding of project management tools and techniques.

Analytical approach to problem-solving, using own initiative.

Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently, accurately and to deadlines.

A good eye for detail.

Diplomatic attitude with the ability to prioritise, negotiate, and use one's own judgement.

An ability to prioritise and to schedule workloads in the face of conflicting demands.

Ability to exercise discretion regarding the handling and management of sensitive information.

Excellent IT skills including advanced working knowledge of all aspects of MS Office.

Previous experience of financial administration
