Purchasing Administrator


Salary: 17 - 22K


Producing / editing purchase orders

Matching up orders with delivery notes to send to H/O for payment

Placing orders with suppliers (internally and externally) and ensuring that documentation is in order, with terms and conditions being clear

Sending any paperwork to our H/O promptly

Maintaining a filing system in the purchase department and updating appropriate records when required

Making payments on credit card and keeping delivery notes, matching up against statement, ready for payment

Maintaining Credit card activity log

Making payments via cheques and matching against delivery notes ready for payment

Maintaining Cheque activity log

Making payments via an ebay account and matching against delivery notes ready for payment

Look for ways to reduce costs to the company, such as evaluating costs of purchasing from various suppliers to arrive at the best deal

Inspecting consignments to verify if they are in order and as per agreed terms

Interacting with suppliers in case of delay in delivery of supplies, receipt of damaged or incorrect quantity of goods

Maintaining stock levels
