Job Description


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant for a well established company. This is a temporary assignment offering a immediate start and an hourly rate of 9.00 based in the Oldbury area with a potential permanent opportunity available for the right candidate.

The purpose of the role is to provide all round accounts, payroll and administration support to the finance department.

Daily duties will include;

- Creation of Excel spreadsheets
- Processing all cashbook entries on to in-house system
- Posting daily bank transactions and performing bank reconcilations
- Reconciliation of specific nominal accounts
- Maintain designated sale and purchase ledger acounts
- Responsible for balancing all petty cash expenditure
- To provide management with a weekly debtors report
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns
- Producing PO numbers
- Processing a weekly and monthly payroll
- Any administration duties which are required by the Finance department
- Any other ad-hoc duties required by the Finance department

Applicants must be fully proficient in Sage 200 and / or Sage 50, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Previous experience within a varied accounts role is essential.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm with 30 min lunch.
