A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Financial Reporting Manager to join one of our prestigious Client's based in Burton upon Trent, on a full time, permanent basis.

The position is a technical accounting role focusing on the preparation of group consolidated financial information on a monthly basis, and financial reporting required on a statutory basis.

Overview of Responsibilities

Financial reporting

Preparation of the monthly group consolidated financial statements for inclusion in the CFOs reporting pack to the Operations Board and Board of Directors

Preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts using Hyperion

Prepare consolidated annual financial statements in accordance with The Companies Act and International Financial Reporting Standards for incorporation in the annual report and preliminary announcement.

Prepare on a timely basis annual subsidiary accounts for all UK entities in accordance with FRS101.

Responsible for the preparation of external Group financial reporting in accordance with all regulatory requirements, in a timely manner. Manage the Group financial reporting timetable including yearend and half year audit.

Liaise with auditors and manage audit process to ensure an effective and efficient audit.

Compliance

Administer the Hyperion software ensuring effective and accurate reporting across the Group.

Provide internal professional accounting guidance and advice specific to projects being undertaken and on technical accounting areas e.g. business combinations, deferred taxation, hedge accounting.

Ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and reporting requirements in each territory group companies are incorporated or have requirements in.

Build relationship with auditors, both UK and overseas.

Internal audit

Work with Regional Finance Directors to ensure high standards of financial control and compliance across the company.

Develop internal audit offering including the scope required for an organization of this size and nature

Provide independent ongoing review of group financial control and reporting policy, ensure compliance and report to Head of Group Financial Compliance on such matters.

Personal

Operate in the role according to the Client's Values and lead by example.

Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.

Liaise with internal and external partners to support and improve the quality of service offering to clients.

Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external partners.

Ensure personal knowledge of industry trends and developments are relevant and up-to-date.

Maintain up to date knowledge of the reporting environment appropriate for the current group of companies and for potential future growth of the group.

Skill Requirement for the role:

Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACA or equivalent)

Demonstrable experience in a similar position

Demonstrable business and commercial awareness

Experience of international accounting

Pharma knowledge is desirable but not essential

In return the below package is being offered for the successful candidate:

Annual salary of 60,000 - 65,000
