Job Description

Sheridan Maine are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join one of our clients Bournemouth.

Initially they are looking at a flexible salary of 22-25k based on experience. Benefits include 28 days holiday and free parking onsite. The hours will be 09:00-18:00 Mon-Friday with an hour lunch, business discounts, annual discretionary bonus up to 15% of salary. My client offer a fast paced environment, that is not always structured and would suit someone who is flexible

The ideal candidate needs to be bright, flexible and have an out-going personality to fit in with the good-humoured and lively accounts team. My client pride themselves finding the right person to work in their ever changing environment.

The key elements of this role include:

- P&L reporting.
- Preparing sales invoices.
- KPI monitoring.
- Credit Control as required.
- Maintaining ledgers.
- Balance sheet reconciliation.
- Petty cash.
- Monthly journals.
- Liaise with external suppliers.
- Supervising purchase ledger.
- Payroll.
- VAT returns.
- Weekly sales reports.
- Monitoring cash flow.

Experience with Xero would be beneficial but not essential, and Excel skills are preferred. My client are looking to offer this position on either a temp to perm or permanent basis.
