Supplier Support Specialist (Equipment)

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 plus 10% bonus and benefits

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within a highly successful and global market leading retail brand to ensure that operations within UK and Europe are enabled for operational success in the field of equipment.

This role will be working with the current Equipment suppliers and managing their needs as well as establishing new Equipment suppliers and putting in place service level agreements and managing ongoing warranty issues. The person responsible will also be acting as a 2nd line escalation point for issues and ensuring that the supplier/ manufacturer are sending service agents to repair the Equipment in an urgent time frame.

Principal responsibilities:

Establish and manage Service Level Agreements with service agents in-market

Act as a second-tier escalation point for specific issues regarding the performance of equipment suppliers.

Address any ongoing performance issues and work with service agents/manufacturers to resolve the issues in the long term

Implement management information, and use this data to monitor and improve performance

Work with service agents to drive down the cost of out of warranty pricing

Source additional/alternative suppliers in-market for the repair and maintenance of equipment

Support the Purchasing Manager by collating market information and by communicating information of our activity to the business in the markets of responsibility

Attend events to communicate the work of the Equipment team and the Commercial team

Skills and Experience:

Graduate calibre

Experience of working with Technical Equipment / Products, either from a supplier perspective or operator perspective

Strong customer focus and service skills

Supplier performance management experience

Customer service experience

Some experience of negotiation and sourcing new suppliers

Excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills

Ability to influence and drive behaviour changes from suppliers and other stakeholders

Tenacity and perseverance to achieve the required objectives

A hands-on approach with the ability to think laterally to resolve issues/problems

Able to operate effectively within a flexible, fast-paced environment

Assertiveness and ability to challenge and push back when appropriate, whilst maintaining a professional attitude
