Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work within a successful & growing manufacturing company

The Ideal candidate will have;

- A relevant engineering degree, HND/Foundation Degree

- 3-5 years relevant experience

- Experience in PLC programming

- Experience in Control panel design

- Previous experience of working in a similar role

- The ability to work with minimal supervision and meet set deadlines

- A methodical approach to work and a critical eye for detail

- A disciplined approach to following and enforcing all departmental procedures

- Well organized and focused on service delivery

- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask

- A good understanding of relevant ISO processes and expectations

- A mind-set of continuous improvement

The day to day duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:

- Designing electrical control systems to fulfil customer requirements and technical specifications

- Ensuring product designs comply with the latest regulations

- Development of new products

- Re-development of existing products

- Technical support for the business

- Ensure standards are maintained in production

- Ensure quality process / systems are adhered to and maintained if necessary

- Other relevant tasks that may be required from time to time


- Keeping a track of the key dates for production and completing work on time

- Raising requisitions for hydraulics systems

- Progressing R&D projects

- Being available on the phone /by email /in person to answer questions as and when they arise

- Processing design change requests

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week. Hours of work - Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm. Subject to workflow additional hours may be necessary from time to time.
