SALARY: £130-£160 per day for a Long-Term Supply Teacher. Plus Education Network Teacher Bonus as outlined below.

The successful English Teacher will be joining this Academy at a very exciting time. The Academy has an incredibly motivated and inspirational leadership team who are striving to build momentum and create a positive morale across all departments.
You will be joining an Academy that places a significant emphasis on fostering a love of learning in their students so that they are prepared and ready to move successfully into further education, training and employment.
THE ROLE - ENGLISH TEACHER
You will be required to plan, prepare and deliver informative and engaging English lessons to Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) and potentially Key Stage 5 (KS5) English classes. You will be required to be innovative and versatile in your teaching style and think of varying ways of delivering the lesson content to best suit the needs of your students. Being a strong differentiator, you will be required to extend the learning of the Academy's most high-achieving students and also have the confidence and ability to support low-achieving and resistant students.
ENGLISH TEACHER SPECIFICATION
The Education Network is looking for a English Teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or is currently completing their Initial Teacher Training with English as a specialism. You will have a proven track record of raising attainment levels across the 11-18 age range or be a good/outstanding Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT). Your subject knowledge for English will be very strong and you will have the ability to stretch academically gifted students. You will be a resilient English Teacher who has excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to motivate, engage and inspire your students.
It is essential for the successful English Teacher to have a positive outlook, a dedicated and hard-working attitude and be happy to get involved with extra-curricular activities within school-life. Previous experience teaching English to A-Level students would be desirable although not essential.
