JOB TITLE: MFL (German and French) Teacher

KEY STAGES: Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3 and KS4)

LOCATION: Tower Hamlets,

SALARY: 28,097 - 46,829 for Permanent MFL Teacher Contracts. 135 - 220 for a Long-Term Supply Teacher.

CONTRACT: German and French Teacher (full-time)

THE ROLE: MFL (German and French) Teacher

The opportunity to teach MFL in this vibrant Secondary School in Tower Hamlets has arisen - giving you the chance to join a hard-working and committed MFL department.

You will be joining an extremely dedicated languages faculty who believe passionately in their subject areas and in the development of the skills required to enable students to achieve well and grow as confident individuals. The school's aim is to equip young people with the subject knowledge and skills for life.

The school's MFL department holds high expectations of students and pride themselves on the standard of work produced. All students study both French and German in years 7, 8 and 9 with a few students taking just one language in year 9.Languages are optional at KS4 and students who decide to study the subject at KS4 obtain very good results (94% A* - C French; 95% A*-C in German in 2014). The department strives to provide its pupils with a positive learning experience which will encourage them to pursue their studies for life.


The Education Network are looking to appoint a devoted and focused German and French Teacher who has the drive and ambition to consistently deliver 'Good' and 'Outstanding' MFL lessons to the 11-16 age range. Our client school are looking to recruit a fully qualified MFL teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS and ideally has previous experience teaching German and French to GCSE level. Taking on the full classroom responsibilities of a MFL Teacher within a well-resourced, friendly and organised Languages department, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering engaging, challenging and fully inclusive German and French lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
