With offices based in the City of London, our client has an opportunity for a Senior Manager Technical accounting and reporting EMEA role answering into the Senior Director Accountant. The successful candidate will be leading financial processes for over 45 legal entities.
Responsible for project management of the annual EMEA statutory audits and overall EMEA accounting professional fees budget
Working closely with the accounting team members to ensure that audit files and local GAAP trial balances are prepared
Being the main point of contact/ liaison with all audit firms and supervising the efficient closing of any audit queries
Working with the legal team in setting up Board of Directors meetings to approve these financial statements in advance of legal entity Directors' approval and filing locally
Being the technical US GAAP/ IFRS point of reference for the accounting team for all technical matters
Excellent knowledge and able to demonstrate practical application of technical accounting principles under IFRS, US and UK GAAP
ACA qualified with a big four firm and first time passes
Excellent experience of working in technical accounting teams in practice or commerce/ industry
Project management experience in respect of statutory compliance and projects
Experience in using global ERPs
