Management Accountant, London

Our client is a leading markets operator and provider of post trade risk mitigation and information services.
This role sits within the Management Accounting team based in London.
The focus of the role is to review and challenge processes and data flows, maintain and develop controls, deliver accurate cost and revenue accounting entries within the given month end timetable deadlines, provide strong challenge, in addition to providing support and guidance to the more junior staff in the team.
Preparation of Direct Cost accounts
Identify and create journal entries to account for cost adjustments, i.e. accruals and prepayments
Prepare monthly analysis schedules for various material costs, e.g. Legal, Marketing and Professional fees including commentary on material movements, exceptional items etc
Review revenue control reports, including reconciliation of Oracle to source trade systems sales reports to identify missing/incorrect invoicing
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and justifiable balances and providing supporting documentation
Ensure accurate coding for invoices by approving Purchase Order workflows
Point of contact for the business partners, providing support to FP and A with any cost related queries
Assist with intercompany reconciliations and posting of correcting intercompany adjustments
Identify and deliver process improvements and focus on improving productivity and efficiency both within the cost team and wider management accounting department
Develop and maintain strong relationships across the business
Assist with audit queries during the interim and year end audits
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 2 years PQE in Management Accounting
Microsoft Excel knowledge to advance level is essential
Experience with Oracle would be an advantage
Excellent analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop new skills and understand new technology as required
Ability to readily comprehend processes and / or corporate structures
