Job Description

My client is a fast growing chain of casual dining restaurants. The industry has seen a resurgence in recent years led by small, well received operators such as my client and the sector has become an increasingly exciting and fast-paced one in which to work. This particular role as Commercial Accountant will be to directly assist the Finance Director in taking the company forward, in able for it grow and be successful.

The Candidate:

Be an ACCA or CIMA exam qualified or final stage student.

Have experience in the hospitality industry and be familiar with the concepts that underpin the sector.

Be a self-starter and able to undertake work unprompted.

Be able to give examples of where analysis they have done has enabled the business to make better decisions.

Have led or been a key driver of business change projects with a demonstrated track record.

Be confident and capable of communicating their financial ideas and findings to those in the business who's understanding of finance is not as strong.

Have strong Excel skills.

Have good experience in working with current EPOS systems.

Be flexible enough to cope with a changing environment.

The Client:

Support the Finance Director with ad-hoc reporting requests.

Developing and implementing processes and reports that will support a fast growing business.

Working closely with the property team to support and evaluate new store openings.

Working closely with the brand team to analyse and interpret data collected from marketing initiatives.

Working closely with the group finance function to ensure accuracy of management reporting.

Prepare and evolve the weekly P and L forecast.

Lead and manage various business change projects.

Help with preparation of the board pack.

Support the operations team with analysis and interpretation of financial reports.Assist with the long-term business planning and annual budgeting.
