Our prestigious client is seeking a HR complex case advisor to work for them on a temporary 6 month contract. Although the role will be based in Coventry the successful candidate may be required to occasionally travel to other branches.

The Advisor will provide support and coach line managers, in handling complex cases across the full range of HR policy areas, including Employment Tribunals and other legal action cases.
Advisors will focus on building the capability, competence and confidence of line managers in managing complex people management issues, and ensure management decisions are legally compliant, with an operational and business focus.

Key Responsibilities include:
Provide advice and support to line managers on an on-going number of complex HR referrals/cases that require professional HR advice and guidance, either via telephone or email. Examples include: poor performance, sick absence; conduct and discipline; grievances and grievance panels; appeals against warnings and dismissals; CSABs and; Employment Tribunals.
Ensuring queries/cases are managed in a timely manner and appropriate conclusions are sought adhering to employment law, policies, business and operational need.
Coach and support line managers to develop their capability, competency and confidence to manage complex people management issues. Including developing and delivering group activities aimed at improving management capability.
Exhibiting a strong customer service focus ensuring a high quality service is delivered to all parties involved.
To be the HR expert on HR issues and processes within the HR casework team, sharing knowledge and expertise with the wider HR team.
Accurately recording, and providing management information as required.
Demonstrating a flexible attitude and taking responsibility for personal development and pro-actively supporting the culture of continuous improvement within HR.

Essential Skills required:
Previous experience of managing a range of complex HR queries/cases.
Experience of providing advice and guidance to a range of levels of manager on a wide range of issues.
Understanding and effectively applying employment law to a range of complex HR cases.
