My client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Executive to join their team in Leamington. You will be a driven and highly motivated outbound sales or telemarketing professional with a proven record of success in the B2B environment.
The role requires a strong work ethic in order to achieve the measures of performance (normally talk time/calls made and appointments made) and the ability to excel at selling the services to business decision makers. Hungry for success and with a committed motivation to getting things done, you will be a self-starter and will not need to be micro-managed.
This role can be summarised into 3 main areas:
Sourcing and calling B2B sales leads
This involves sourcing B2B sales leads which are well researched, cold called and developed into viable sales prospects.
Calling contacts from internal database, purchased data lists, marketing campaigns
Ability to use social networking to identify potential target companies and individuals
Exploring existing large client bases to identify new opportunities
Also responsible for identifying suitable companies and industries to target
This role involves B2B introductions only and key decision makers to be identified may be HR Directors, Sales Directors, Marketing Directors or more senior
Qualifying new leads and appointment setting:
Sufficiently qualify potential leads to ascertain their budget, authority, need, timescales
Arrange introductory sales meetings on behalf of corporate sales team to meet the client and develop the project further
Where appropriate you will undertake a demo with the prospect
Sales reporting and CRM maintenance
The role is also responsible for their own sales reporting and housekeeping:
Maintain up to date CRM records with all relevant account and contact information and all prospect activity.
Prepare activity reports as required with pipeline information and feedback
Provide excellent customer service (handle all incoming information requests and sales calls promptly).
? Keeping abreast of issues affecting the motivation and events industry and collecting competitor intelligence.
Clear and professional phone manner
Strong communication skills and capable of communicating with clients in senior positions
Confident and out-going, able to form new relationships over the phone
Enjoy working in a targeted outbound sales environment as this will involve making a high volume of cold calls per day to understand and determine potential new business.
Confident and able to maturely and professionally handle objections raised
Must be able to work un-supervised and be self-motivated
Knowledge of the incentives, sales promotions and employee benefits industry is a distinct advantage but is not necessary as product training will be provided.
