Job Description

Sales & Marketing Assistant required for a temporary 6 month period, based in Salisbury in the Public Sector. Paying 9.50 per hour with the ability to earn a further 1500 during the 6 months. Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week but flexibility will be required as on occasion it will be necessary to attend events during mornings, evenings and weekends.

As the Sales and Marketing Assistant, you will support the Business Manager (BM) in maximising the income available, raising revenue via advertising income and sponsorship opportunities and assist with all communications and marketing. This will include being responsible for the output of information including social media, website, corporate identity along with drafting press releases as and when required. You will be required to sell both over the phone and face to face and be comfortable with cold calling and working to targets. Alongside this, you will be helping produce marketing material, recording all sales activity and keeping accurate customer records.

The successful candidate will be able to evidence previous sales and marketing experience, working with media organisations and the ability to produce a wide range of communications. You will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, general computer skills and an ability to work to conflicting deadlines and targets in an efficient and confident manner.
