9 month contract


Reporting to: Directorate Manager


To deliver excellent service by providing accurate, efficient and organised administration and PA support to the Directorate manger and Support Manager for Haematology, Oncology, and Palliative Care.


As PA you will perform a wide range of administrative tasks as requested, ensuring at all times that tasks are completed efficiently.


*Provide secretarial support for key Directorate meetings as part of an administration team

*Diary management

*Booking meeting rooms

*Preparing agendas

*Taking minutes

*Ad hoc administrative support, i.e. power point presentations, spread-sheet creation, typing reports / letters if required

*Respond to effectively to enquires inc telephone enquiries from Doctors, patients, staff and visitors.

*Be responsible of organisation and maintenance of an effective filing system for the management team.

*Maintain personnel records for the team and ensure that the system is updated with holidays, sickness etc.

*Be responsible for arranging interviews & venues, send out interview letters and requesting references and ensure all paperwork is kept up to date.

*Be responsible monthly payroll purposes

*Support the division as required

The right candidate must be able to do the following:

*Confident on Microsoft office and excel

*Have previous administration or PA experience working with Senior management

*Administration experience within NHS would be advantageous

*Have the ability to prioritise work load with initiative and enthusiasm

*Strong ability to communicate and present information clearly

*Be able to take minutes and notes

*Have a flexible approach to duties
