Childrens Residential Support Officer - Birmingham, West Midlands - £8-£9 per hour
Network Healthcare are currently recruiting experienced Childrens Residential Support Workers to work on an agency basis within children's homes throughout Birmingham. Support Workers will be paid in the region of £8-£9 per hour.
Successful applicants will be working with Children and Young Adults with a variety of challenging behaviours such as Child Protection and Self Harm.
The position will involve providing support to Children and Young Adults within a residential setting by creating a safe, enjoyable environment to cater for their needs; thus making a positive impact on their lives. Support Workers will be involved in assisting clients in a number of activities such as cooking, recreational activities and cleaning. Support Workers will also be required to liaise with professionals such as Social workers.
Therefore successful applicants will need the confidence to form strong relationships with staff and service users whilst maintaining a safe environment. In addition support workers must possess good communication skill as record keeping is essential to providing a good service. Applicants will be protecting residents from potential abuse, writing accurate reports, and be responsible for the health and safety of the residents. Other ad hoc duties may also be required.
Due to the nature of the role Childrens Residential Support Officers must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children to be considered. Successful candidates will also be required to possess an enhanced DBS.
