Job Description

KS3/KS4 Mathematics teacher required for an immediate start in a Durham Secondary School.

We are looking for a Key Stage 3 and 4 Maths Teacher for a long term role to work in a 'Good' Secondary School in Durham. The school emphasises the need to develop individual talents and promote full academic, personal and social development of its students within a safe environment. The right candidate will have worked with pupils of all ability groups and be able to plan accordingly to develop and engage both lower ability and gifted streams. The successful candidate will be working with GCSE groups and will be supported by the strong senior management team the school is renowned for in the local community.

Standard requirements are:

- QTS or an overseas equivalent qualification recognised in the UK
- Be well organised with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- Be able to deliver an engaging and inspirational maths curriculum to pupils of ranging abilities
- Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
- Have great organisation and time management skills, creating detailed plans informed by assessment
- Have a strong working knowledge of the current changes to the Maths curriculum
