Job Description

On behalf of our prestigious forward thinking client, Pertemps Kettering is currently recruiting for a professional, dedicated and team-orientated person to work as part of our clients extremely busy Support Team.

Working as part of a small but dedicated group, you will support our client's network of clients in their use of the client's in-house point of sales system, as well as other Windows related software and hardware. You will be able to explain in detail to inexperienced users the features of supported software and leave them confident to continue.

You will be responsible for tracking and shipping computer equipment to customers as well as receiving damaged equipment back for repair. You will be engaged in provisioning accounts and equipment for new starters, as well as related admin for exiting customers and will ensure that all administrative tasks are completed on time and to the highest degree of accuracy.

You will be expected first and foremost to support customers in all computer related issues via telephone, email and remote desktop access. This will include escalating unresolved issues to a higher support where necessary. You will perform administration relating to the tracking of equipment and will conduct laptop repairs / fault reporting to equipment suppliers.

We are looking for someone who has thorough knowledge of Windows 7 and Microsoft Office packages and has great communication skills with an excellent telephone manner. You will be analytical in your approach to problem solving and ideally you will have previous experience in Windows 10, Android and iOS.

We are looking for someone who has had previous experience in providing first line technical support and although not necessary, it would be great if this first line support was with a 'point of sale' system of some description.

An additional language of German or Dutch would be advantageous but is not essential.

The successful candidate will be employed full time and work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00 - 17.30 in the Support Team, reporting to the Team Leader. This role is based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.
