Mobile Electrical Technician

What is the purpose of this role?

We are currently looking for a Mobile Electrical Technician for the UK's largest water and Sewerage Company on either a permanent basis or temp - perm.

The purpose of this role will be to inspect and maintain approx. 200 Pumping Stations in area between Bracknell, Guildford, Woking & Alton. This will include fault diagnoses, testing, installing, modifying or repairing electrical equipment including pumps, motors and panels. Working with top of the range equipment as well as maintenance of older equipment, full training will be given.

This role will involve:

Carrying out electrical installation work at a variety of Pumping Stations involving a number of different processes.

Carrying out inspection and testing work of installations to check compliance with current Standards and Regulations.

Carrying out maintenance and fault finding complying with current Standards and Regulations.

Providing specialist technical advice where appropriate with up to date technical knowledge, and provide training support for technical trainees.

Complying with the Health and Safety at work regulations

What skills are we looking for?

You will be a qualified Electrician having completed a commercial/industrial Indentured Apprenticeship or BTEC HNC in a Electrical subject (or equivalent) with a minimum of 16th Edition.

Previous experience of working in an industrial environment maintaining, installing and fixing 3 phase motors and pumps is essential as well as experience with star/delta and DOL starter panels is essential.

You must hold a full, UK driver's license to be successful in this position.

This mobile position will be based out of Camberley STW with a salary of up to 31,000 dependant on skills and experience. Participation in a 24/7 Out of Hours Standby rota (typically 1 week in 6) will be required after a suitable period of training and assessment, for which you will receive an additional payment.
