Assistant Quantity Surveyor required for this contracting and consulting company, for their various build projects, using cutting edge technologies, based in North London.

They provide Construction Management Services at both Pre-Construction and Construction stage.
During the pre-construction stage they provide support in a variety of ways to manage and drive the pre-construction process. Their service can be tailored to specific requirements and will usually consist of project start up and strategy, planning & programming, construction logistics & delivery, outline construction method statement and agreement of procurement strategy.
The Construction phase consists of the delivery of the project. Whether acting as the principle contractor or another role required, they ensure that all the advantages that can be gained by employing a Construction Management option are realised. As they always state, their service can be tailored to specific requirements and will encompass all elements of the services they offer.
This role will be a key member of the team who will be working on numerous Project by fulfilling an Assistant Quantity/ Contract Surveying role for a Principle Contractor/ Main Contractor. They will deliver an effective team work relationship internally and with all other disciplines; Clients, PQS, Architects, Engineers, Project Managers and subcontractors.

Helping determine the client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
Benchmarking requirements against similar projects.
Assessing and comparing options.
Helping define the project budget.
Checking developing designs against the project budget.
Assessing value for money.
Attended weekly/ monthly progress meetings with above disciplines.
Checking designs meet legal and quality standards.
Undertaking risk management and value management exercises.
Preparing cost plans, estimates and cash flow projections.
Advising on procurement strategy.
Advising on packaging.
Site measurement/ remeasurement.
Material scheduling and purchase/ Plant hire
Preparing pricing schedules.
Preparing tender pricing documents.
Collating and issuing tender documentation.
Estimating the cost of variations.
Achieve an efficient and timely response to resolving disputes/ variations.
Preparing valuation statements for interim certificates; accurately value the subcontractor works in accordance with the conditions of their contract.
Assisting with the valuation of claims.
Preparing regular cost reports, including out-turn cost and cash flow.
Completing the final account.
