Job Description


Site Managers required for a highly successful, rapidly growing developer and main contractor, for their two new build traditional build projects, based in Greenford and Brentford.

This is for a permanent position, not freelance, a background with a housing developer, or main contractor, working on new build traditional build projects. This position is for a site manager, who wishes to develop their experience, and career, with the company.

The majority of employers in this business have been with the company for over 10 years.

Role

Promote health, safety and environmental issues (in line with the company policy) on all sites to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained.
To oversee the production on site, to deliver projects on time and accurately report current position on programmes to the pre-determined targets.
To carry out the construction in the most effective manner and deal with all obstacles efficiently and appropriately
To drive liaison with utility companies to ensure timely connections
To issue sub-contractor notice to commence, prepare and issue short term programmes and effectively hold/input into sub-contractor meetings and record/distribute minutes of the meeting
Undertake material take-off’s, Order, plan and schedule material delivery requirements and prepare accurate and timely material requisitions in line with the contract specification, Ensuring sufficient time is provided to enable the buyers suitable time to attain the best rates, minimising unnecessary storage on site whilst having sufficient material on site to maintain progress with the construction programme.
Ensure all Health and Safety/ISO procedures are followed.
Ensure sales presentation is maintained at all times in conjunction with HRL sales teams and strategy.
Handover completed scheme to client on time, to agreed quality standard and budget

Requirements

Self-motivation, drive and passion to succeed whilst being able to make balanced decisions giving guidance and support to other members of the production team.
A proven track record of quality delivery on time is paramount.
Recent experience of working on mixed used schemes incorporating mainly residential and affordable housing ideally on projects 10m+ incorporating RC Frame, traditional construction and Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5.
Recent experience of working on centralised heating systems
Recent experience and proven track record with Customer/Sales focus.
