Pertemps employees sleep out for the Doorway charity | Pertemps

Pertemps employees Tim Jones, Scarlette Rowley, Sheila Chana and Petra Malikova donated £1,552 to the Doorway charity.

Doorway is a charity based in Warwickshire providing advice, accommodation and support for young homeless people aged 16 – 25.

The team battled the cold and rain by sleeping out in the rough for the Doorway charity on Friday 15th November, with around 40 brave people with only cardboard and tarpaulin for protection at Nuneaton Borough Football Club.  They even donated their sleeping bags and umbrellas to help the homeless once the sleepover had concluded.

Pertemps employees at Head Office also contributed food, clothes, toys and toiletries to help make Christmas day a more festive occasion for homeless and vulnerable people. Also, the Pertemps charity ball earlier this year raised the Doorway £7,000 towards their charitable causes.

Pertemps Head of Marketing and Sponsorship, Tim Jones, Sheila Chana and Petra Malikova had the pleasure to present the cheque to Pat Dickens, Carol Haden and Carol Gallagher at the Doorway Charity.

Tim Jones, said “The sleepout was nothing I have experienced before – I wouldn’t wish it on anyone! It truly puts into perspective what homeless people experience on a day to day basis. I’m proud of the team and all our employees for their support and contributions for the cause. It is a pleasure to support the Doorway charity.”
Doorway representative, Pat Dickins, saidWe at Doorway are so grateful to Tim and his team at Pertemps for their fantastic donation, which will help us to buy essential items for homeless young people. It’s wonderful to know that businesses like Pertemps are supporting the lives of young people within their local community.”
