Some charitable Sheridan Mainers have been busy fundraising recently for a variety of different causes.

Ben, Matthew, Jodie, Izzie and Ami from Sheridan Maine represented the company recently at the Eastleigh 10K road race to raise funds for Dementia UK, The Brain Tumour Charity and Macmillan Cancer Support.

As well as taking part in marathons, the team created an initiative called ‘Pounds for Pounds’ in the run up to Red Nose Day. For every pound (lb) staff members lost collectively up until Red Nose Day, Sheridan Maine donated £1 to Comic Relief. They managed to lose 92lbs between them, raising £92.

Marketing Executive Ami Glass bravely chopped off 40cm of her hair to donate it to the Little Princess Trust, a charity who make real hair wigs for children who have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment. Sheridan Maine also donated a supplementary £100 to the cause.

Ami said: “I was so nervous to get my hair cut, I have always been known for my long hair and it was my comfort blanket! A lot of people have said they prefer the shorter length though, although I do really miss it!

“It didn’t help that the hairdresser gave me the worst haircut ever, it was so jagged on the ends and I haven’t been back to any hairdresser since, the trust is gone! It’s all for an amazing cause though and I’m so glad I’ve been able to help.”

Well done to everyone at Sheridan Maine for all their charity work. Keep it up!
