Greg Hines, Branch Manager at Pertemps Peterborough, is channelling his inner Mike Tyson this summer to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
On July 1, Greg is entering the boxing ring to take on his opponent to raise as much money as possible for charity. The event is organised by Ultra White Collar Boxing, Cancer Research UK’s biggest fundraisers, who in 2015 alone raised over £2million.
In return for raising money for charity, Greg receives 8 weeks of free training with local professional boxing coaches. As well as getting fight-ready, he will get fit and feel the health benefits instantly.
At the end of the training, Greg will be matched on weight, fitness, ability and age with an opponent from the group he trains with.
He said: “I’ve been running and doing weight training in my spare time. My actual free training started on April 30 with Immortal gym 365. I’m having two sessions a week – one circuit training and the other sparring.
“I decided to take part to challenge myself, to raise money for a good cause and to have a good time in the process! I’ve never done anything like this before and I am pretty nervous, but really looking forward to it too.”
Greg wants to raise £575 for Cancer Research UK and would appreciate anyone who can help to reach his goal. To donate, head to https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Greg-Hines?utm_source=Sharethis&utm_medium=fundraisingpage&utm_content=Greg-Hines&utm_campaign=pfp-email
From everyone at Pertemps Network Group, good luck Greg!
