Pertemps Network Group are pleased to announce we have won a prestigious award for the Best Recruitment Campaign regarding our work training and finding driving jobs for Army Reservists.
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) presented Directors Michelle White and Celia Perry with an Institute of Recruitment Professional (IRP) award at the glamourous ceremony in London last night. An IRP award is recognised by all in the industry and a fantastic achievement.
Pertemps Driving and the Army designed the Portfolio Employment Model (PEM) to provide Reserve Soldiers with a flexible civilian LGV Driving career option that fits perfectly around Reserve Service duties. With many ex-British Armed Forces drivers finding it difficult to make a transition from military to civilian LGV driving as well as a nationwide driver shortage occurring, Pertemps saw a solution.
By partnering with the British Armed Forces, we developed the PEM to allow Reservists to experience the best of both worlds. Joining the Royal Logistics Corp balances working for Pertemps Driving during the logistics industry’s busiest periods and in the Army when the driver work is quieter.
With free commercial LGV familiarisation training to gain a civilian driving certificate (Driver CPC) and guaranteed work once the training is complete, the PEM is a brilliant incentive and has given Reservists and leavers the confidence to get back into the world of civilian work.
The scheme has received substantial backing over the past two years by the government. As well as government support, we also received royal praise as Prince William presented us with the Ministry of Defence’s highest recognition for employer support - an Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award.
We are honoured that the REC recognise our hard work and commitment to driver training. An IRP award is the highest accolade a company can receive in the recruitment industry and only the finest are shortlisted, so to win is an amazing accomplishment. The REC want to raise awareness of those whose exceptional work sets a high standard for all businesses to aspire to.
Pertemps want to thank the REC for choosing us for the Best Recruitment Campaign award and a huge well done to all staff for their hard work during the campaign. We are immensely proud of our work with the British Armed Forces and continue to work with them closely in the future.
