Pertemps Network Racing are steaming ahead in the No Limits Racing National Endurance Championship with a massive 22-point lead after the first three rounds.
The racing trio, sponsored by Pertemps, worked hard to maintain the pace in the six-hour race at Donington Park recently, where 37 teams went head-to-head to make it to the next round at Anglesey.
Colin Norris, motorcycle rider, said: “I have been racing for ten years and still get that buzz and adrenalin rush for the whole day when I race. The rest of the team and I are over the moon to have maximum points after the first three rounds, making us 22 points ahead in the championship.”
The 2018 No Limits Racing season comprises eight rounds across six different venues all over the country. Starting in March at Snetterton 300 and finishing with the big finale in October at Donington Park, the team are racing ahead so far and aim to continue the winning streak in the next five rounds.
The race began well, with Jonathan picking his way through three of the 1000cc machines up to 7th place by the end of lap two.
However, during one of Colin’s laps he fell on an oil spill along with six other drivers. After a tense wait by his crew in the pit, Colin returned uninjured, but with a damaged bike.
The circuit staff sorted out the oil spill, Colin’s bike was fixed and the race could restart, where Gaz began his session, making great progress and pulling the team into first place.
Colin maintained the lead in his final session, before Jonathan ended the race in first place 23 seconds ahead of closest rivals B&B.
Colin said: “What a day and what a result! A huge thank you to our sponsor Pertemps. Bring on Anglesey in June!”
Congratulations to the Pertemps Network Racing squad; fingers crossed they maintain the lead in the next five rounds!
