We are currently looking to recruit experienced Warehouse Operatives to work and a leading distribution company in North Yorkshire.

The Role is working in multi functional and active Warehouse environment, the post holder will need to be competent in all aspects of primary Warehouse Operations - Receipt, Store, Maintain and Issues. The post holder will be part of a multi skilled service focussed team, dealing with Royal Engineer Equipment.


" Employed as part of a multi skilled warehouse team across the Receipt, Store, Maintain, Issue and Despatch (RSMID) functions.
" Locate stores in line with current plan.
" Prepare stores for issue according to demands.
" Correctly pack and label stores for transit.
" Clean, Repair, repack and re-stock stores and equipment on receipt.
" Prepare stores and equipment for inspections as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
" Assist Warehouse Supervisor and Accountant with all stocktaking.
" Carry out all Health & Safety Fire Marshall duties as directed by KN Policy.
" Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor/Site Manager.
" Contribute to Warehouse performance against KN Key performance Indicators (KPI)
" To contribute to Warehouse continuous improvement initiatives.
" To have a flexible approach to work and move from section to section within the warehouse and where required to other warehouses at time of surge to ensure peaks and troughs of work are addressed.
" To attend all mandatory courses as detailed and in accordance with agreed timelines.
" Responsible for taking reasonable care of the Health & Safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work and to observe best practice and compliance with legislation in the protection of the environment and the conservation of energy.

Your skills and experience
" Previous experience gained in a Commercial Warehouse or Logistics environment
" Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
" The ability to use initiative
" The ability to prioritise tasks
" The ability to use own initiative & be a good team player
" The ability to adapt to change
" Customer focus with good communication skills
" Accountability for own actions - can stand by decisions and deliver what is promised
" MHE trained is desirable
" Some heavy lifting will be required

Due to the nature of the role you will be required to go through a stringent screening process including DBS Check, 3 Years Reference history and security screening
