As part of a truly major international group; this global Aerospace organisation is looking for Lean & Continuous Improvement Engineer. Your role will be to establish best practice manufacturing processes and methodology to ensure world class productivity.
Position: Lean & Continuous Improvement Engineer
Salary: from £40,000 to £55,000 per annum
Location: West Midlands
Main duties and responsibilities for the Lean & Continuous Improvement Engineer:
o Implement World Class Manufacturing methods and processes across the site
o Develop efficient factory layout and support equipment layout to optimise production flow and minimise unnecessary movement via promotion of Lean Manufacturing methods
o Support equipment project timelines and manage on time delivery and buy off
o Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
o Lead and participate in Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement activity
Knowledge and Education
You will already have a proven track record working as a Manufacturing Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing or delivering Operational Excellence/ WCM within a high volume manufacturing facility
o HND/Degree in an Engineering related subject
o Six Sigma Certification highly desirable
o Experience in leading the VA/VE process
o In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and how to apply them in practice
o Knowledge of one or more of following complex manufacturing processes - product assembly, machining, casting, forging or presswork production processes and related capital machinery
In return for fulfilling the role of Lean & Continuous Improvement Engineer my client can offer a generous salary of up to £55,000 plus an excellent benefits package including a generous pension, bonus scheme and medical care.
