A global manufacturer of precision components for automotive and motor sport industry is seeking an additional Project Manager to be responsible for key clients NPI activity and new product launch. As a Project/ Programme Manager you will support the new product introduction team through effective project leadership to meet customers objectives.
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £45000 - £60000
o Reporting into the Project Engineering Manager your role will encompass;
o Prepare clients quotations in line with the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
o Manage several high profile projects through the NPI process from initial proposal through to successful delivery.
o Communicate project/ product progress and issues to customers & internal resource.
o Delegate to, and steer, the operations team towards satisfactory delivery projects.
o Cost projects, engineering, tooling and manufacturing.
o Create and maintain a 'knowledge base' for future projects.
o Business travel is required with the possibility of overseas travel.
You will already have several years experience working in a similar Engineering Project Manager or Programme Manager role.
o Experience of managing products ( including prototypes and tooling ) through a recognised New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
o Completing quotations and understanding commercial terms and conditions.
o With an in depth understanding of the engineering, tooling, casting and machining processes, this will possible incorporate automotive, motorsport, aerospace or defence industry knowledge.
o Able to organise multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
o Demonstrable and proven experience of business / account development.
o Recognised formal engineering qualification (HND/ Degree level) and/or recognised Project Management training.
