A successful global organisation, one of the largest suppliers of components and assemblies supplying into automotive OEMs globally, is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for their flagship facility in the Shropshire area.

Position: Manufacturing Manager - Automotive volume manufacturing operation
Location: Shropshire
Salary: c £50000 + benefits

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Manager will

" Ensure all production schedules are met in line with quality, cost and delivery targets managing a team of up to 40 people working over two shifts.
" Work closely with engineering, utilising the expertise as a support function ensuring downtime is minimised, OEE is maintained and TPM is implemented across your section.
" Provide robust leadership across the team driving performance through leading by example and provide strategic support for the senior management team.
" As Manufacturing Manager you will introduce and champion a lean manufacturing culture within your team. This should encompass holding regular performance reviews with team members, interpreting sales and performance data to facilitate the removal of obstacles which block good team performance.

About the Person

You will already have a track record in a similar Production/ Manufacturing/Operations Management role in a fast paced automotive production environment as well as the following:

o A proven record of implementing change and productivity improvement in a manufacturing environment; demonstrating good people management techniques to motivate, development and communication.
o Effective at delegation, time management, planning through the use of efficient business systems and processes
o Communicate directly to individuals at all levels setting out a clear direction and purpose including both direct and indirect reports.
o Understanding of Key Performance Indicators with the ability to interpret analytical data to effect change and business process improvement.
o Come from a manufacturing or engineering process background
