Position: Operations Manager
Salary: £47000 - £50000 Basic Salary + Car + Benefits
About the role:
This is a brand new position to offer senior level support to the Managing Director. The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving performance across a complex manufacturing process. Duties include:
' Effective management across the Production and Logistics department
' Drive KPI performance across the team- providing individual coaching and support across the production department
' Provide technical support, utilising your understanding of chemical/materials engineering to ensure effective production
' Utilise Lean Manufacturing methodology and practical application of the tools and techniques, to improve plant efficiencies.
About the person:
You will be results driven and self motivated with a drive to achieve tangible results, along with the following attributes:
' A degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a similar discipline is essential
' Proven experience of management within a Chemical/Materials based manufacturing environment
' An understanding of adhesives/coatings/polymers is desirable
' Exemplary communication skills and a flexible approach to work
' Experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager or Business Unit Manager in a similar environment.
