A fantastic opportunity is available for a HR Business Partner to join a Professional company in Birmingham City centre, you will be supporting the Head of HR, HR Manager in the delivery of HRD services, including the provision of strategic and tactical advice and solutions to Directors/Managers on the HRD requirements and implications for the delivery of their business plans. Including specific project work, resolution of complex ER matters and delivery of HR related aspects for business change programmes.
The role and responsibilities
-Provide support to Managers up to Director level in the promotion, development and delivery of people initiatives aligned to the strategic and annual business plans.
-Support the Head of HR, HR Manager in the delivery of the HR People Strategy with personal accountability for the delivery of specific projects linked to the Business Objectives.-
-Provision of risk based advice on the people and ER implications of planned organisational projects, engaging the support of HRD colleagues as appropriate.
-Support Directors on the development, implementation and evaluation of organisational design change programmes to achieve business objectives and minimise grievances and tribunals related to breaches of procedure.
-Work with HRD colleagues to ensure the development of appropriate HRD policies and procedures which enable achievement of business objectives. Including drafting, obtaining business approval and communicating the change, impact and amendment to operational ways of working.
-Provide reports, trends and qualitative analysis on key people issues and metrics to Head of HRD, HR Manager, Directors, Heads of Unit and Line Managers with recommendations for action.
-Provide, design and deliver solutions/options of key recommendations, taking into account employment legislation for Directors, Head of Unit and Line Managers to ensure the effective resolution of issues
-Forge strong trusted relationships with a defined client base within the Shared Services team, employee and trade union consultation forums to assess, promote and develop customer centric people implications in the strategic and annual business plans of the organisation taking into account legislative and best practice HRD trends.
-Provide risk based advice and support to an agreed client base in dealing with ER cases to service levels and standards; and provision of feedback to managers and HRD colleagues on lessons learnt and recommendations from trends and issues emerging in ER cases.
-Deliver support to Directors, Head of Unit and Line Managers in the promotion of a high-performance culture including coaching, moderation of ratings, pay implications and development opportunities.
-Contribute to and promote effective HRD best practice in collaboration with HRD colleagues.
-Identify critical business roles and develop strategies to ensure effective succession planning and career development with appropriate support from L&D colleagues.
To be considered for this role you must have HR Business Partner experience
-Experience of providing tactical, risk based HR advice
-Experience of identifying and supporting people and change management implications arising from improvement or change programmes
-Must be able to analyse complex situations and then make well considered decisions quickly and confidently, at times supporting business decisions even when controversial or unpopular
-Demonstrates an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
-Deals confidently and assertively with senior and influential individuals
-Excellent coaching and mediation skills
-Experienced in the design and implementation of people and change management implications arising from process, structure and or system performance improvement programmes
-Knowledge and experience of applying employment law, equality and diversity duties and HRD best practice
-Experience of reporting on HRD activities and trends in people/issues and metrics
-Experience of supporting performance management including moderation and pay reviews
-Able to use Microsoft Office applications to at least intermediate level
-Ability to deliver and monitor value added HR services based on demonstrable understanding of business needs
-Focus on results through planning ahead, managing expectations and solving problems
-Ability to influence, collaborate and communicate with all levels of management and colleagues
-CIPD qualified - desirable
The company are offering salary of £43,000 - £45,000 depending on experience with full time working hours and excellent benefits
