A fantastic opportunity is available for a Records Assistant to join a Legal firm in Birmingham city centre

You will provide direct support to the records manager ensuring complete accuracy of the patent and trade mark records

Role and responsibilities
-Assist the Records Manager in ensuring patent and trade marks records database is maintained with total accuracy by updating of the database
-Loading new cases on to the records system and cross checking data
-Provide detailed schedules for fee earners and clients upon request
-Produce reports and documents for fee earners
-Process filing receipts and update new filings including sending correspondence to clients
-Expire cases on the system
-Produce filing statistics

To be considered for this role you must have come from a Legal or Insurance background with wanting to learn and progress
-Understanding of progressor records system ideally
-Understanding of general patent and trademarks process and lifecycle from filing through to post registration and impact errors
-Fully competent in use of worksite and all microsoft office packages including excel
-Understanding of a renewals process

The company are offering a salary between £20,000-£23,000 with full time hours a fantastic benefits package
