Join a family run business in South Bristol! They are looking for a part time administrator to join them. Working school hours you will work in administration and financial areas of the business to co-ordinate with all staff and assist within your capabilities to ensure smooth running of the organisation. You will be an experienced Administrator and will take on a range of responsibilities. This is a new role for the business and provides an exciting opportunity to mould and grow the role to assist and benefit the business.

The Job

  • Obtaining prices from suppliers and preparing quotations for customers.
  • Prepare prices for tenders, and procurement exercises and submit by the due date
  • Keep records for project accounts
  • Assist Director with ensuring statutory returns are completed on time
  • Liaise with Office Manager as directed to ensure smooth operation of business
  • Respond to queries, answer telephone and liaise with suppliers, customers and other staff
  • Assist the Director with diaries, emails, post, filing and correspondence
  • Some support with entering information on QuickBooks and checking figures
  • Attend team and other meetings as appropriate
  • Assist with preparing and submitting Method Statements and Risk Assessments for which training will be given
  • Handle other responsibilities and duties as defined by management
  • Keep senior management informed and up to date as necessary

Your Skills and Experience
  • To excel in this role it will be beneficial to have the following:
  • Excellent administration skills with proven experience, minimum 5 years
  • Confident, articulate, professional
  • Problem solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Advanced typing and computer skills, MS Office
  • Must be able to multi-task and have a flexible approach to work
  • Good written English and understanding of figures
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Desire to review and improve processes
  • Discreet and confidential
  • Have a good working knowledge of office equipment, including printers, computers.
  • Have an awareness of Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental issues

Salary and Benefits
  • Hours: 27.5 hours a week, 9.00am-3.00 pm, half-hour lunch break
  • Salary: £17,000-£20,000 (Pro Rata) depending on experience
  • Holiday F/T allowance 30 days holiday per annum includes bank holidays and Christmas/New Year closure
