Our client in central Bristol are looking for a marketing and communications manager on a temporary basis for approximately 3-4 months. They require someone with communications and marketing experience, preferably from a more technical background.

Purpose of role:
To effectively communicate the organisation's services, products and activities to different stakeholders to increase the reach and profile of the brand internationally and to ensure maximum engagement with members and other partners globally
o To implement a communications strategy and plan
o Plan the marketing and communications strategies for specific areas for different audiences
o Develop the online channels and specifically the website to ensure continued relevance of content
o Responsible for supporting the development and managing the implementation of a communications strategy and plans to support goals and its products, events and activities
o Manage the development and implementation of an integrated marketing and communications strategy using traditional and digital approaches, including social media, to enable targeting of specific audiences
o Co-ordinate the communications and marketing to ensure we present an influential, distinctive and consistent message and image across all our activities
o Develop and commission an appropriate range of marketing materials to promote its products and services. This may include adverts, marketing flyers, publications and exhibition material
o Manage and keep up to date appropriate lists and data within our CRM and bulk email system
o Pro-actively work with colleagues and volunteers on projects, products and services, to identify opportunities to enhance the profile and brand identity
o Manage the presence at identified internal and external events, ensuring the coordination of logistics, and the effective showcasing of the work to ensure maximum impact
o Significant experience of marketing and/or integrated communications in a busy and demanding environment
o Experience of successfully implementing and evaluating marketing and communications plans to communicate technical information effectively to achieve agreed objectives
o Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work at all levels of an organisation
o An excellent verbal communicator, with the ability to articulate quite complex issues coherently and succinctly to internal and external stakeholders
o Accomplished writing and editing skills, with the ability to adjust writing style to communicate effectively to different audiences as appropriate.
o Creative, yet practical, with the ability to turn good ideas into action and deliver against agreed objectives.
o Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage projects over a period of time, delivering agreed outcomes to deadline, within budget and to a high quality.
o Ability to use data and analytics from CRM, email communications system, website and social media channels plus other sources to help us to understand and engage with our contacts and develop our reach to target audience groups
o A good understanding of digital communications, including e-marketing; social media and search marketing
o Able to travel and undertake some work out of hours
