An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary to work for an establish organisation in Dudley. You will be required to provide a comprehensive secretarial service to a Medical Team of 3-4 staff.
As a Medical Secretary/ Audio Typist you will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective secretarial service to the local health service.
Duties will include:
-Audio Typing from Big Hand
-Dealing with the Oasis system and patient information
-Providing administrative support to the team
-Making and receiving telephone calls to and from patients those who may be distressed.
-Liaise with all staff concerned with patient's services
-Deal with enquiries by letter, email, calls and all other services involved in the patients care.
-Liaise closely with other trusts regarding patient information and establish good levels of communication.
-Typing of all dictation from shorthand and/or audio of clinical letter, reports etc.
-Preparation of case notes for clinics and ad-hoc retrieval of medical records.
-To assistant where necessary in the production of outpatient clinic lists making necessary changes.
-The successful candidate will have experience in a similar environment as they do need to be able to hit the ground running
Previous experience audio typing is essential for the role.
Rate of pay for the position is between £9.00 and £11.00 per hour.
This is a band 4 post for a candidate with previous medical secretarial experience.
The working hours of the Medical Secretary will be:
Monday-Friday 9.00am- 5.00pm.
