We are delighted to be recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer to work for a Manufacturing company based in Dudley.


The main duties will be:

Conduct audits of policy and compliance to BSI standards of 9001 Quality 14001 Environmental and 27001 Information Security.
Implement a Health & Safety Policy and gained an accreditation from SafeContrators for the organisation.
Maintain and improve BSI accreditations for 9001, 14001 and 27001 for the organisation and that of the stakeholders.
Develop effective introductory training program for all new employees as well as going training for all employees and managers.
Carry out all HS risk assessments, and report the findings to appropriate levels from Directors, Managers, down to the Warehouse Operatives to ensure they are aware of the risks relevant to their part of the organisation, and those individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks.
Provide support, by coaching and mentoring the staff on HS and Environmental awareness within the organisation.
Carry out Audits and Quarterly Reports to the Environment Agency and conduct site inspection as and when EA Inspectors visited the organisation.
Monitor and inspect all waste materials that arrived or collected from the organisation site.
Implement a training programme for all staff members, which included on and off the job training and ensured that all training record were kept up to date.
Responsible to all members of staff in the organisation to ensure that HS Quality and Environmental Regulations had been complied with.
Supervise all staff members and organised the workloads on a daily basis when the General Manager was off site.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

Previous experience within a Health & Safety environment.
NEBOSH general certificate required
Working knowledge of HSE government authorities and environmental regulations is required
Experience working in any one or multiples of the following is essential, manufacturing, production and logistics.
Previous experience working with audits
