Our client is a highly respected manufacturer in Redditch and they have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join their busy IT department as IT Helpdesk Support offering 1st level support to the team.
Working in a manufacturing environment this role centres around taking support calls and resolving issues or passing details on to another member of the IT team with specialist knowledge. This is a fantastic opportunity to break into the IT world as you will be given full training on various different IT systems, network servers.
IT Helpdesk Support Key Tasks
Taking support calls and resolving issues where possible
Liaising with third party support companies
Checking back up logs and changing tapes
Configuring and rolling our new hardware (Computers, printers etc)
Administration tasks on the business and server systems
Basic network support
IT Helpdesk Support Key skills
A practical interest in all aspects of computing. This includes software and hardware
Experience with Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office suite
A working knowledge of computer hardware
Evidence of being a team player is important as they are a small team that work closely together.
