Payroll Clerk Bromsgrove £20,000 per annum Due to continue success and increased workload we are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant to join the Finance Department on a permanent contract for a major employer in the area. You will be responsible for both fortnightly and monthly payroll for up to 350 employees. Payroll Assistant key responsibilities *Maintaining payroll processing system, gathering, calculating and inputting data. *Dealing with staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance and time records *Coordinating leave requests and other absences *Calculating national tax as well as national insurance contributions *Computes employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits and taxes *Honours confidentiality of employee pay records *Performs the distribution of wages through direct transfers to employee bank accounts The successful candidate will have previous payroll experience within a similar role, knowledge of IRIS payroll system and SAGE 1000 would be a distinct advantage. You will need to be CIPP certified. The hours of work are 8.45-4.30pm Monday to Friday but you will need to be flexible on payroll deadline days.
