An excellent opportunity has become available to join a dynamic team. My client is looking for a Purchasing Assistant to cover a 6 month contract starting in October 2018.
The working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.15 the pay rate is between £8.50- £9.00.
Duties & responsibilities include:
Check purchase orders
Communicate delivery dates
Control supplier catalogues and literature
Place purchase orders
Create and maintain stock codes, prices and supplier details
Liaise with the Warehouse to investigate stock discrepancies.
Maintain and promote good working relationships with suppliers and other departments.
Resolve invoice price queries.
To cooperate with the company on health and safety matters and comply with the company health and safety policy.
Must be conversant with Microsoft Excel.
Must be professional, hard working and able to operate using own initiative.
Must be able to remain calm under pressure and be willing work outside of their job description and apply lateral thinking when solving problems.
