Job Details

My client based in Swadlincote are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join them on a 12 month FTC

Main activities

o He/she performs analytical determination on raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products, by managing multiple products and using a large number of complex and diverse equipment
o He/she executes the supply of consumables for the analysis performance
o He/she stores raw data and retained samples in accordance with QA policy
o Periodically he/she checks its equipment following maintenance scheduled
o He/she cleans labware and manages the laboratory waste

Quality

o He/she respects the dressing procedures and the hygiene rules
o He/she observes the department's procedures highlighting any deviations from them
o He/she participates in quality training organized by the Company

HSE

o He/she carries out its activities following the HSE instructions received from their managers;
o He/she respects corporate HSE procedures of its Department, refraining from taking action on its own initiative, which could lead to dangerous situations.
o Use personal protective equipment (PPE) for activities that present specific risks
o He/she submits to health surveillance
o He/she warns immediately his manager if notes a dangerous situations


QC Technician SPECIFICS:

o Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to the required standard
o Ensure all raw materials, in process and finished product quality testing are carried out to meet production time limitations
o Release of raw materials for use, finished goods for sale in compliance with specifications and validations of orders for despatch
o Carry out internal microbiological analysis by petrifilm
o Evaluate new raw materials and pre-shipment samples
o Carry out shelf life trials
o Carry out environmental monitoring including swabs
o Maintain records and documentation according to established procedures
o Ensure certificate of analysis are created and available in the online database
o Carry out internal audits as required
o Ensure compliance to procedures in the manual, including all aspects of quality, environment and health and safety
