We are currently recruiting for a national training provider and as a result of growth, they are now looking for an experienced Health and Safety Trainer.
This company offers an excellent salary of up to £38000 and you will qualify for a company car or car allowance, laptop, mobile, pension, and competitive holiday scheme.
As a Health and Safety Trainer, you will deliver quality health and safety training to a range of learners which will include apprenticeships and employees from within the Construction Utility sector.
The delivery is usually center -based, however, this may travel to client premises.
Delivery will also take place using online platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google classrooms
Summary of duties of the Health and Social Care Trainer
" To coach, mentor, and guide groups of learners who are engaged in the Health and Social Care apprenticeship and Commercial programs
" Actively support, mentor, and motivate learners across the entire learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification. Contact will be mainly through Microsoft Teams and online platforms
" Deliver inspiring training and coaching sessions to groups and individual learners.
" To provide information, advice, guidance, and support for the Learners which includes Functional Skills in Maths and English where applicable
" Set individual targets for each learner based on the capability to ensure KPIs are met
" Manage your diary so that agreed contact with learners is achieved.
" Identify and assess learners' needs and put in place robust learning plans, with realistic and challenging goals, that enable learners to understand their journey and realise their potential.
" Observe, mark, and review work produced by learners to ensure it is of the appropriate standard to reflect the learner's qualification and meet the needs of the qualification.
" Provide insightful, constructive, and informative feedback to help the learner maximize their potential.
" Proactively monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality and effectiveness of their workload and working practices to ensure deadlines and targets are met and that the learner has an outstanding experience.
" Ensuring all IT systems up to date and meet funding compliance.
" Coaching and guiding the learners to the End Point Assessment where applicable.
Skills and Experience Required for the Health and Safety Trainer/Skills Coach:
" Ideally hold an Assessor Qualified e.g. CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32, D33
" Recognised Teaching Qualification would be desirable- PTLLS or Award in Education and Training
" Hold a Health and Safety recognised qualification such as NEBOSH,
" Hold experience delivering Health and Safety Courses. It would be desirable to have up to date knowledge on Apprenticeships and End Point Assessment
" Vocational competence in Health and Safety
" Proven track record in achieving Targets and Quality Standards
" Competent user of Microsoft Teams and excellent all-round IT Skills
" Full Uk driving license
